I usually reserve a bottle or two for special occasions. For an introverted extrovert like me, the best kind of special occasion is receiving an invitation to dinner from the kind of friend who shares my passion for art, culture, food, and wine. So, when my friend, Kev, invited me over for a home cooked meal, I knew it was the perfect occasion to break out the bottle of Liparita Napa Valley Red Wine I’d been saving.
Holy shiitake mushrooms was this wine good. Smooth and sophisticated. An excellent pairing with homemade pizza.
